Copyright and Takedown Policy

1. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe material available through AcaTrove infringes your copyright, send a written notice to the contact below. We review complete notices and may remove or restrict access to challenged material while we investigate.

• Identify the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• Identify the material you want removed or disabled and provide enough information for us to locate it, including a URL or workspace reference when available.
• Provide your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
• State that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• State, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the copyright owner.
• Include your physical or electronic signature.

Please use the subject line “Copyright Notice.” Submitting false or materially misleading claims may expose the sender to liability.

3. Counter-Notice

If your material was removed or disabled because of a copyright notice and you believe that happened through mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notice.

• Identify the material and where it appeared before removal or restriction.
• State under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
• Provide your name, address, telephone number, and a physical or electronic signature.
• Consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States federal district court and agree to accept service from the original complainant or its agent, as applicable under law.

4. Repeat Infringers

In appropriate circumstances, AcaTrove may suspend or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright or repeatedly submit content they are not authorized to use. We may also restrict access to disputed material and preserve relevant records when reasonably necessary.

5. Important Limitation

This page provides AcaTrove’s operational complaint process. It does not state that a designated agent registration has been completed with the U.S. Copyright Office. Rights holders may also use any remedies available under applicable law.
